Let Us Talk About Naudhiz

Naudhiz. People are often dismayed if Naudhiz shows up in a reading. I know I used to shy away from it. Naudhiz, taken to mean, "Need," gives people pause. And yes, sometimes it appears in a way that indicates a lack of some sort, which can be scary.

It can also mean that your needs are met - that you have what you need, but need to figure out how to use what you have to meet the needs.

I am working on 2022 being my year of realizing I can meet my needs with my own resources. Mostly I am talking about inner resources, but I am also talking about Things. Material things. As I mentioned in my previous post, the idea of having to get something from outside in order to try something new almost blinded me to the fact that I had what I needed on hand already.

New workings demand new tools seems to be the thought process a lot of us fall into. But what if new workings demand a new look at the things we didn't realize are tools? I think we've gotten too far into the idea that what we have just around us is somehow not magical enough. It's all made of atoms, though, and what is more magical than an atom? Those solar-systems in extreme miniature which make up the entirety of what we know as the world! I digress. I love atoms.

I challenge you to think of something you think you need to get in order to do some esoteric work. Instead of ordering it, or going out to buy it, look into the random boxes or drawers or cabinets of stuff you already have. Almost everything in the world can be used for more than one thing. Our ancestors (heck, MacGyver!) did not have the questionable benefit of instant ordering; they did with what they had.

We can make magic with what we have.

(Are you there, Thor? It's me, Foxnose.)
